Comparison of Children Adventure Books

In this article I am going to compare three kind of children adventure books. First, the Three Investigators books. Second, the TKKG books. Third, children's books written by Enid Blyton.

The categories that will be compared is the fairness of the plot, characterizations and the language used.

In terms of fairness storyline, the best serial in my opinion are the Three Investigators books. The book really could describe how the main characters solve the problem by their own efforts, without too much coincidence which made the plot absurd.

TKKG books are not too good from this side. Many problems solved only by chance. Sometimes there is so many problems encountered by the main character but always end up related one another.

Similarly, books written by Enid Blyton. The main character in his book mostly just follow the adventure plot, with various events found unexpectedly and by chance until they finished their adventure.

In terms of characterizations, the Three Investigators is the best. The main character is a group of professionals in resolving problems. They have professional expertise in accordance with their respective characteristics. Jupe by his deduction, Pete with his physical superiority and Bob with his research capability.

Although the main character in TKKG quite varied: there is Tim the hero, Karl the computer, Klößchen and the Gaby, but TKKG story is actually just one man show. Only Tim has a major role. Another figure is only a complement.

The work of Enid Blyton was the most bizarre of the characterizations. The main character is always portrayed meet adventure by chance and there is usually some of the main character is portrayed not like adventure and are tearing throughout the adventure.

Furthermore, from the language point of view, TKKG was the winner. The author was not only deliver flat language. For the Three Investigators, the language used is usually flat and professional. For Enid Blyton works language used usually flat.

So that’s the comparison of children's adventure story books. Nothing is really perfect, but it was definitely still fun for those who are fond of.
