Comparison of Children Adventure Books

In this article I am going to compare three kind of children adventure books. First, the Three Investigators books. Second, the TKKG books. Third, children's books written by Enid Blyton.

The categories that will be compared is the fairness of the plot, characterizations and the language used.

In terms of fairness storyline, the best serial in my opinion are the Three Investigators books. The book really could describe how the main characters solve the problem by their own efforts, without too much coincidence which made the plot absurd.

TKKG books are not too good from this side. Many problems solved only by chance. Sometimes there is so many problems encountered by the main character but always end up related one another.

Serial Conversion of Children Adventure Book from the Original Version into Indonesian Version

Many children's adventure books must undergo some changes or adjustments when translated from the original languages into Indonesian.


Trio Detektif known in Indonesia is a translation of The Three Investigators. Publishers in Indonesia relatively is not change anything other than the name of the series from The Three Investigators become Trio Detektif. The titles relatively unchanged. Character's name was exactly the same.

Originally The Three Investigators: The Mystery of the Fiery Eye

For Enid Blyton’s children adventure series, character involved totally unchanged. Changes common to the work of Enid Blyton is the name of series and title of the book.
